Blog: A taste of what you may find on Maui

Kitchen remodel complete!

You may have heard ~ we have been at work on another kitchen remodel. When we renovated our Palms at Wailea 503 condo seven years ago (replacing bathrooms and tiling throughout) the kitchen was still in decent shape.

We started planning this remodel this past June. We’ve worked with contractor ADX Construction several times before and they had an open slot mid-October. We took the opportunity to change the kitchen layout, pushing the peninsula out a little which allowed more room to move around the kitchen. We went with modern cabinets built on Oahu. Sig got his big wish of finally getting a Bosch induction stove (I wish it were in our house, but hey). Our existing fridge is still working well, but we have a larger fridge cut-out so we’re not as limited when we replace it down the road.

Second bedroom refresh

When we bought the condo 13 years ago, it came with twin Murphy beds in the second bedroom. We pulled them out and instead put in two twin XL beds. They are 5 inches longer than standard twin beds. The free-standing beds can be pushed together on request to accommodate couples. Please let us know prior to your arrival if you prefer that setup.

Livingroom switcheroo

We moved the TV and added a built-in entertainment unit. I think this setup makes a bit more sense.

We are happy with the way the remodel turned out. Check our Palms at Wailea page for many more photos of what to expect on your next stay! We’d love to have you!
